Looking off the Cliff: Cape Hyuga, Miyazaki

It's the start of Golden Week in Japan, so we spent the last two nights in lovely Hyuga, Miyazaki.  The main reason we went was so that Kam could try out his new surfboard (Miyazaki is famous for its surfing beaches).
In between some very refreshing sessions in the ocean, we drove up the coast a little to check out the Cape Hyuga area, with a wonderful lighthouse and the splendid Umagase cliff.

On the drive back we stopped over at this roadside shrine, very peaceful and lovely.

Bonus food photos! Here are a few notable meals from our Miyazaki two-nighter.

✩Chicken nanban

✩Japanese breakfast

✩Beef Udon

Thanks Hyuga, we had a great time as always.
